I have just finished reading the whole Bible—this time complete with highlights (yes, I’ve read it a few times already albeit not consistently!)! And now I have in my possession a second-hand “fresh” Bible (which I’m starting to highlight again!), and a new life-application study Bible gifted by a friend—and I can’t wait to finish reading both again!
I realise that no matter how many times I read the Bible, I can never fully exhaust the truths and treasures that lie in it. Just like the grace and mercy of our God, His love, care and compassion, and the blessings He’s poured out on us His creation. But as I read my Bible each time and meditate on God’s Word, I always come to know more about my Saviour, God’s will, God’s plan. And all the more I know of these, the more I feel at peace. The Lord is Lord, He is in control—of this generation, and of the new earth to come.
This blog is my “thoughts notebook” as I read the whole Bible again. It IS a project! I intend to write my reflections, as well as my questions in it. If you happen to stumble on this site, you may want to join me in studying God’s Word, share your thoughts, or answer some of my questions—you are very welcome!

What great news-about your desire to read the Bible daily and blog as you go through it! I had 3 role models who read the Bible cover to cover every year. I finally started in 2004. But out church challenged all of to do it together one year, in 1989. I was still working, so it seemed daunting to keep it up. How sad! Finally, I became hooked as my working days were winding down.
The past few years, I’ve decided to read the Bible in chronological order. My mind prefers things in order.
I can’t wait to follow and see how you’re doing. I need to set aside time after my reading to blog about it!!!

I’m actually behind–my last post is still in Matthew, but I have read the whole NT already again (except for a couple of the gospels) plus a few more books in the OT.
I have stopped following Bible reading guides–I now follow my own pace, which is actually faster! I usually read by “genre” (eg, the wisdom books, the gospels, etc.), and by “era” (eg, books during the Babylonian exile)–makes it easier for me to understand events in context!
I have just finished reading Revelations (twice!) last month, and the past 2 weeks I have been reading Zephaniah and Zechariah (now reading it for the second time again)–which gives me a better understanding of what I read in Revelations! (I’m also now planning to draw/sketch what I read in Revelations–to remind me of the chronology!)

Thanks for your reply! My first time thru was on a “plan” and I didn’t like it. But I need the discipline of some sort of a plan. Main thing, do what you think will bring Glory to the Lord! And that you are!
